The second step is where
I take the quick pen or pencil sketch from my notebook and I draw
a slightly more detailed version on my computer using photoshop and
a wacom tablet. During this step I try to get a basic color scheme
working in the picture. If the colors arent the most important aspect
of the image or if I haven't decided which colors would look best,
I just try to get the image "set up" and have all the objects
in it positioned correctly. This is basically just a color sketching
of what I sketched out in pen. It's not meant to impress anyone. A
3rd grader could paint some of these.
