"Ego"
What it means to me |
||||||
|
Originally painted in highschool
with acrylic paints, I redid this painting right after the "complicated"
tree picture. I fixed some problems in the original painting as well
as adding some more detail. This was an attempt to create something
completely strange and that would get attention. This explains the
bright yellow color which I've never used in a painting until now.
The face appears to have been ripped off and is looking at itself
in the mirror from a completely new perspective. This guy is no longer
himself, yet he is not quite someone else either. This picture, although
it is very disturbing visually, it is painted that way to emphasize
the strangeness of the new view |
