"Looker"

What it means to me
 

This is one of my favorite pictures because it's meaning can be so many different things to each person. One of this painting's meanings for me is simply the process of learning. The "people" in this acrylic painting are each trying to see what the larger and more experienced person next to them has inside their head. Eventually, the smallest guy will have someone trying to see within his memory banks.

Final Acrylic Painting


Sketching the picture out before painting really saves me from alot of frustration but in this particular image I should have done another higher detail sketch before I painted the acrylic painting. I had a hell of a time making the leg positioning in the final version to look right. That is the main difference between the sketch and the final painting. This is one of the very last Acrylic paintings I had done before switching over to Oils.
